When I was little, I was sure of two things: I wanted to help people and I wanted to be a mother. I considered a medical career for years, and obstetrics was initially out of the question. When it came to choosing a career, however, a kind voice suggested that I apply for a midwifery degree. From then on, I focused on this, and over the years, I found my place in it more and more. I only became truly confident when I was able to help my first baby be born in my second year. From then on, I knew that this would definitely be my path, and since then I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. My profession has become part of my personality.
I completed my studies at Semmelweis University in 2014. I spent my student years at the Flór Ferenc Hospital in Kistarcsa. After that, I worked for almost seven years at the Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Hospital in the capital. During this time, I gained a lot of experience and encouragement, and I was able to share a lot of love with new families. I have developed professionally every time, and I have become a little more of a mother myself. The first thing I learned was that empathy is the most important thing, and that mothers feel safe. That they know they are not alone. I believe that it is not what we say that is most important, but how we say it. However, the right professional knowledge is essential, so I attach great importance to keeping my knowledge fresh, developing and wanting to know.
I have always tried to create a relaxed atmosphere in the delivery room, to develop trust and a bond with the expecting family, so that on the way there and at the moment when their child arrives, I can celebrate with them. I can be present with them not only as a professional, but also as a kind of friend. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to stand by the side of expectant mothers of different nationalities and cultures, so I adapt quickly and quickly manage to find a common voice
